The Castle Cafe

My name is Mags and I have been working in the Castle Cafe for 4 years. At my stage in life I decided that I needed to take a step back on my workload so I only work on a part-time basis, which the management were more than happy to give me. I can honestly say that I love going to work, and although the work is quite physical and tiring, it is still very rewarding. I believe that every job you do is worth doing well.

There is a great diversity of people working here and it makes life very interesting. There is a really good bond between us all. We are more a family than colleagues, and I love that the owners and management will carry out any task that they would ask us to do, I find that this creates a very friendly workplace. Our customers are from all walks of life, we have regulars, occasional visitors and plenty of tourists, which can make our busy days very interesting. I plan that I will be working here until retirement.
