My adventure in the Castle Café began 6 years ago when I started as a kitchen porter. The Castle is all about working with a group of kind people who want to help you. I was given the opportunity for professional development in gastronomy with the help of my supervisors and by other chefs and I started to climb the career ladder step by step. My managers gave me numerous opportunities to improve myself on a daily basis along with setting long term goals. After four years I was promoted to the level of sous chef which is the position I currently hold. In September I’m starting college at MTU to again work on my skills in a culinary course. The company made this possible for me with support and I would not be able to achieve this dream without them. Working for this company is a pleasure and has brought me so many benefits.
